Just tried using my broswer today. Keeps hanging at the requesting part. Never connects no matter what the website is.

I can get email messages, SMS, make phone calls, GPS, but no browser.

I've tried re-registering the host routing tables. Tried a battery pull. Tried turning off the phone and and turning back on. Nothing.

I am running the latest .75 update too and have had the browser working before and after the update.

Any ideas?

weird.. I noticed it on this site but when I went to my personal site it loaded right away and I tried a few others and they loaded right away..

we should all pick a main popular site and see how it go's

ok update I discovered that its more then likely the proxy that's slow..

Because through opera all the sites are blazing fast so its not verizon..

I noticed the same thing around 5:30 PM EST today. I'm on AT&T (BlackBerry Bold 9000), showing a strong 3G connection, AND an excellent wi-fi connection. The browser gets hung up "requesting" and shows a communication error on any site I try to visit (including "easy" sites like google) that usually comes up in mere seconds. I've done the on and off and battery pull also, to no avail. WTF? The rest of the phone is entirely functional (texting, calling, etc.). Very strange.

What other browsers are out there that are faster than the standard on the phone?? it seems to be extremely slow for me and how do you get the pictures and colors to show up in emails? any help is great!

BB browser goes through RIM's proxy servers. Those are probably experiencing problems, which is why many people are affected.

You should still have an active data connection. Anything not using the proxy servers (like Opera) will work fine.
