    interesting to know that yours were/are type I screens. Mine is type II.

    Sounds like you either purchased the wrong screen type or you didn't install the metal backing plate. LCD screens WITH a backing plate already installed surely sell for more than €25. If you did buy the correct screen it sounds like you need to remove the backing plate from the broken screen and reinstall it onto the new one.

    Check the part number on the ribbon cable of the old LCD with the new LCD to make sure they are the same.

    just wanted to know where u purchased ur lcd as i also need the same one u do..it is called a type 1 which has 1 nob on metal plate in the middle..lcd #169943-014..check ur lcd number..
