    You can't get rid of it. Yes Verizon requires you to have the BlackBerry plan. What's wrong? You having problems with it?

    If you are with Verizon they require it. I have no clue why. I've heard plenty people say that they have a BB with VZW w/o a data plan.

    You don't have to have a BIS account. You only use it if you want to have emails coming to your device if you aren't on the BES. You have to have a data plan but it is not a requirement for you to sign up for a BIS account.
