hoping to save you from yourself. I see that your new so I will go easy, not sure about others though. I use .103, its fast and reliable for me. WARNING: you are about to get "flamed" by a bunch of people. Do your self a favor and use the search bar and type in ".103 findings" or ".109 findings" or "link to .103" READ FROM FIRST POST TO LAST, skimming short ones, read thouroughly. Its really easy to update, there is a thread that explains it. We all had to do it, just start reading. Take your time and learn as much as you can, there is patience involved. You can't just be a crackgenius overnight (although sometimes I try to stay up all night learning)
Good Luck, again...be patient and remember, someone has already asked the question your about to, so search it and read the answer
If u can't navigate thru a forum then a BlackBerry isn't for u...

Anyways,
Aren't forums supposed to be a friendly place? I swear, of all the forums I have ever been on, I have never seen so many people flame like I do on this one....
Sorry, just had to say something. If your not going to answer his question, then why even post.
I guess I'll get flammed now for sticking up for the poor guy? Oh well... I await my fate.

I don't attack members who violate the search and posting rules. However, as I've said in another thread or two, I believe that playing with firmware and the like should be delayed by those who ask questions that have been posed over and over or who miss (even without a search) obvious subforums and threads on the exact same topic. For me, it's not about cluttering CB or having to wade through it. It's simply a sign the person is likely not ready....they have not read enough, etc..
I have .106 testing on a Storm and it addresses all of the known issues for Verizon. If your going to take a chance and download any of these leaked verisions I'd recommend that one until the offical release Mid April.
Yes but the sticky thread that covers upgrades with the leaks isn't clear.... one of the reasons I haven't. Example, step one is download the desired OS..... well, to where? the phone or your pc? and there are other steps that aren't clear either. Anyway... hopefully somebody will post a step by step procedure of installing the leak OS's that leave out all the grey areas.
actually i have been using it for 2 days now but the , ".114 hybrid" created on blackberry os.com by bbcrackman is the best for me, but i would say try them all yourself and see, it's always better to find out for yourself because everyone has different outcomes with the OS's here, so test them out yourself and come back and let us know in the "finding threads of that os whats wrong with it :-)
There are a lot of a-holes on here who think it's their job to monitor the forums.
If you can answer, great. If not, don't post. Who wants to spend x amount of time skimming a thread with hundreds of posts anyway?
AMEN. Couldn't have said it better. I'll say it again, the "THAT'S A STUPID QUESTION!" trouble makers are the reason most people don't want to go through a long thread looking for help... the self-proclaimed forum gods haveing caused the very problem they themselves are complaining about.
If you can't help a forum poster, or don't want to, move on. Don't shoot your mouth off and insult them. One day YOU TOO will be asking questions. Karma? yea, she's a real b**ch.
