I just replaced my storm under the 30 day no hassle exchange and noticed the battery on my new unit is only 1380mah as opposed to 1400mah. Anyone know why RIM did this? Thanks. I tried searching for this but came up with nothing.

I just opened mine up and checked mine. It says

1380mAh (min)
1400mAh (typ) 5.2 Wh

The battery is OEM indeed. Looks exactly like my prior battery but the capacity states and only states 1380mah. Weird.

scratch that. Below 1380mah.to the side, its states 1400 mah (typ) 5.2 like what TheFarmer posted. What's does all this mean.

Well the battery is guaranteed to have 1380 mah, but due to variances in manufacturing it may not have the full 1400. Conversely, some batteries may exceed the 1400 mah rating slightly due to the same variances.
