I am having issues with my back light, especially in portrait mode. I have turned on the automatic back light feature. But now when I am in portrait mode it randomly goes dark and light, I am not sure whats effecting it. But its not the ambient light of the room, b/c that doesn't change. When I go to landscape it is better, and doesn't change as much. Has anyone else had this problem? Could this only be a software problem, or does it sound like the sensor is messed up and needs to be fixed?
I don't think this is a hw issue. The light sensor is next to the Led indicator, so it's very likely when you use the device in portrait, you hold it in a sharper angle and therefore less ambient light detected. If this is a common issue, the algorithm will likely be fine tuned in next updates.
