I just started doing this today. I'll lay down my phone on the table or wherever and eventually the backlight goes off like it should but then all of a sudden after some time passes, the backlight comes on again almost like it would if the phone were to ring or receive a message, etc.



Any help is greatly appreciated.

Did you try a battery pull?

First...

Go to Options>Screen/Keyboard. Scroll down to backlight settings, choose anything other than the current setting. Back out of this menu by pressing the BB button and choose save.

If this does not work...

Do a battery pull.

I almost guarantee this will do the trick.

Mine did that when I had the "Automatically Dim Backlight" setting on. It stopped when I turned that off.
