I lost my phone awhile back and went through the replacement process.
It didn't take long to get a new phone "well, not new; a refurb" but the
phone works great and was in great shape. Prior to getting the phone
I was reading the forum here "allot" wondering how bad my replacement
would be? It did come in the Asurion box, did state it was refurbished.

The audio is actually better then my new phone was... Go figure?

I'm not shocked, but I would have thought that an insurance claim replacement would be a brand new phone.

It depends on the availability of refurbs.

all of my experiences with asurion are always very pleasant. even when i was a rep for VZW and i'd call on a customer's behalf to help resolve issues, whatever...they were always very helpful and knowledgable.

a lot of the bad experiences are from people with unrealistic expectations, or expect to be treated differently, aka the ones who take water damaged phones to the VZW store to get a warantee exchange on the spot, ROFL!!!
