I have two separate yahoo accounts on my storm. Thats it. No enterprise.

I have set BOTH to silent under sound profiles but one ALWAYS will ring when an Email arrives and the other account won't

I thought it was a bad device but now im on my second storm for other reasons with same issue on SAME account.

Tech support cant help.

I erased and re-created the account several times.....HELP!!!

Try setting up a custom profile with everything normal and the email at silent.

But thats like a loophole around the problem....

Probably a bug... just like alot of other things that needs fixing...

The only cause I can think of is the OS, or it being Yahoo mail. It's a little different than other mail accounts. I have one, but never use it, so I haven't experienced it myself. But I have experienced bugs here and there with notifications.
