I just got my Storm on New Year's Eve. When I was flying back to school, I felt a vibration a few hours into the flight and I realized my phone was on. I'm certain I switched it off before we left CVG.

Of course, the battery was low, so I had to charge it a bit as soon as I got off the plane. Sure enough, the phone turned on again when I was riding BART.

Is there anyway to lock the power button? Or how else can I avoid this problem.

PS Sorry if this has already been discussed, I did a search and I didn't find anything relevant.

Well here is the skinny on Blackberries they never really turn off completely until you pull the battery. By switching it off I assume you hit the red end call button. You probably hit again in your pocket.

When flying with a Blackberry, remember they never really turn off but if you go the manage connections icon on the home screen, you can turn off the connections. and that is the way I always fly with the blackberry.
