    I was reading the manual and it says theres a 3g symbol by your bars that shows up when you have 3g service, but i never see this why??? btw i have verizon.

    they werent lazy, gsm just coined the term '3g' for their 3rd generation network, so verizon just used what their network was actually called.

    I duno that what a verizon rep told me...but who knows with those people anymore lol...so how is it that verizon says 3G in all their commercials and not 1XEV?

    1XEV is 3G you will see a 3G icon if you have a 9500 like voda in the US we get 1XEV same thing

    lord just imagine how interesting these threads will be when the companies all start to switch to their 4g networks..

    'so uh the rep said im on 4g but my friend says its only 3g and the icon next to my bars says something else and my friend with an iphone says its only 4g when i wear my tinfoil hat and blah blah blah can someone help me'
