You can't get 3g on anybody but verizon because the storm is set up for cdma only.

    Oh, the misinformation....

The Storm 9530 is a world phone, meaning it can operate on BOTH GSM and CDMA bands. However, it is quad band GSM and only UMTS (3G) on the 2100Mhz band, so it will NOT work on North American GSM 3G networks. Basically it will work on 3G anywhere but North America.

Sorry, but edge is the best you can do.

Also, "Inactive" means the SIM card slot has been unlocked. If it said "active", your signal on T-mobile would be zero and only say SOS which means it can be used for emergency calls only.

There are rumours of a 9550 which would operate on the North American 3G band (850 is ATT, I think, and 1800 could be Tmobile), but the Storm 2 as we know it right now I believe has the same radios as the Storm 1. Hang on until the 9550 is announced on Tmobile or ATT, then unlock it to move to whatever carrier you want to use on 3G.

Sorry, but "no soup for you"
