    When I was messing around with themes, I just did google searches and came up with dozens of icons. They are all over the web in various forums and websites.

    A lot of people are good with photoshop and make their own, like myself. Some of course with greater detail than others.

    Try Eyecandy for your GNOME-Desktop - GNOME-Look.org , has a ton of icon sets meant for gnome desktop but that are usually in standard image formats.
