Make sure you battery pull your Storm and restart your computer before you use the AppLoader.

Ignore step 2, it'll probably auto backup.

Ignore any references to .103. =P

    1) Connect your Storm to your PC via the USB cable.
    2) Back up your current device settings in the Desktop Manager, I created instructions for this process below. It’s the same process for either backing up or restoring your settings so I just combined the instructions.
    3) Navigate to Programs Files -> Common Files -> Research In Motion -> AppLoader directory
    4) Click on “Loader.exe”
    5) “Next” your way through the dialogues, it will ask you what connection the Storm is connected to, by default it should have USB selected if the Storm is already plugged in. (USB-PIN: *Insert your Pin Number*) Click Next.
    6) It’ll begin connecting to your device, you’ll probably see your Storm screen light up white and it may take a few minutes to “Read Application Configuration”, etc.
    7) Once that’s done, you’ll see a big list of Applications that you currently have installed. You could probably click “Next” and it would work, but let’s verify that the updated version .103 installed correctly.
    8) Highlight “BlackBerry 4.7 System Software” (it’s probably already highlighted) and click the “Details” button on the bottom right of the window.
    9) You’ll see a new window appear with two tabs, select “Modules” and you’ll see a big list appear with “Installed Version” and “Available Version”. Simply ensure that “Available Version” says “4.7.0.103”, not all of them may say it, but most probably will. This simply means that it’s going to upgrade to .103, which is what you want. Press “OK”.
    10) You’re back to the same window as before now, click “Next”.
    11) It will begin the installation. Do not unplug your device while it’s doing this. Even if it seems like it’s taking WAY too long, and the loading bar hasn’t moved for quite some time you must wait it out.

I find it can't connect to my device if I've spent too much time messing with DM.

Reboot both your Storm and your computer, then try again.

Just check any of the modules in that list, if you're trying to install .113 it'll probably say it's being replaced with .113.

You have installed the update, right?

As in, you downloaded it, clicked on the .exe and it went through the install process?

Jump into your Add/Remove Programs and see if the new OS is there, should be under BlackBerry on the program list.

There's a way to get more details than that, make sure it says .113.

If it does, I have no idea why it won't work. =P
