- Can someone help me with Step #6 of the Marcus Hybrid? I "think" I have done everything up to that point but I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do here. I'm totally inept with stuff like this so easy words, please!
6. Same with the mms.cod. In .109 java files, drag the .86 mms.cod loader file into the .109 java folder (which will really have .113 java files in it by now). Yes, to rewrite.
Thank you!03-21-09 12:11 PMLike 0 - Can someone help me with Step #6 of the Marcus Hybrid? I "think" I have done everything up to that point but I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do here. I'm totally inept with stuff like this so easy words, please!

Thank you!
just copy everything in marcus' java file and paste it into the .109 java file...
it will overwrite everything in the .109 file, so say yes to rewrite03-21-09 12:17 PMLike 0 - OK, so is what I did in step #5 different what I have to do with step #6? That's what I'm confused about. Thank you for helping! I don't have enough posts to IM anyone.
5. Do the same with the .109 java files. Take the loader with .113 java files and copy/paste the java files form .113 into the java files for .109. Yes, to rewrite.

basically.... what you are doing is copying the 1 file in marcus' cdma folder and pasting into the .109 cdma folder... yes to overwrite
then... copy everything in marcus' java folder and paste into the .109 java folder... yes to overwrite
his directions are a lil confusing LMAO03-21-09 12:26 PMLike 0 - So when I'm done how will I know if I've done it right? I'm not sure I have the .86 MMS thing done.
ACK!03-21-09 12:34 PMLike 0 -
once you are done with upgrading... you can go to options>about
if all is well it will read v4.7.0.113 platform 4.0.0.11403-21-09 12:37 PMLike 0 - Well clearly I didn't do it right. I really thought I had but it says
v4.7.0.109 (platform 4.0.0.136)
This is after the battery pull. I think I'm not nearly smart enough to figure this out...03-21-09 12:44 PMLike 0 -
ok... ill give you the blondieproof way of doing it... the simplest way i can think of explaining....
take the .109 file you downloaded... delete the cdma & java folders.
take the marcus file... and copy both the cdma & java folders.
paste into the .109 (where you deleted the original folders)
get it?03-21-09 12:47 PMLike 0 - I do totally get it. BUT....(LOL)
there are two files I downloaded and each has a cdma and a java folder.
I take the cdma from .136 zip and I take the java folder from the .143 zip?03-21-09 12:56 PMLike 0 -
so your taking the cdma and java from .136 and pasting to .14303-21-09 12:58 PMLike 0 - Ok, trying again! I have a feeling I have the wrong file. I have a file on my desktop where I have downloaded the two Marcus files.
But when I go to the c-program files, common files, etc. I see I have the .136 file in there and I think maybe I should have the .143 file in there. Oh I feel like such a dork.03-21-09 01:13 PMLike 0 - Ok, trying again! I have a feeling I have the wrong file. I have a file on my desktop where I have downloaded the two Marcus files.

Thanks for helping. I deleted, re-downloaded, etc. and still come up with
v4.7.0.109, platform 4.0.0.136
I'll go over to the "gold code" thread and ask for help there since I don't want to take this one way off topic. Thank you so much for your help. If I could PM you for help I would but you're off the hook.03-21-09 02:25 PMLike 0 - Thanks for helping. I deleted, re-downloaded, etc. and still come up with
