If I go to options, themes, it says my Storm has Precision Zen installed. Usually I just see the Verizon checkmark ... but occasionally I get a brief glimpse of the Zen lightning screen. So I'm pretty sure the Zen theme is in there - but Verizon either put something over the top, or mod-ed the PZ theme.

Is it possible to remove the V checkmark and get the un-Verizon Precision Zen theme? Or has V so thoroughly mucked up the PZ theme that we basically have to start over and install a fresh PZ or other theme?

dude, the V checkmark is just a wallpaper. you can set any wallpaper you want in it's place. if you want the lightning screen you have to download it though. it's on crackberry wallpaper section i beleive.
