Oh no! Someone made an ubuntu theme, I should just carry a laptop with Linux instead. Oh look a zelda theme I should just carry a ds instead of my phone. Apparently we can't like more than one thing here. If you don't like it, ignore it and move along or spend your own time making a theme. Thanks to everyone who puts their own time and effort into all themes.

Zelda -> DS? WTF? You're a noob or something? Zelda = NES. And yes, carrying around a NES will get you loads of attention for design Especially if you could make phonecalls with it

Oh, and for the one or two who haven't noticed it yet... Where do you think the inspiration for Eva from Wall-E came from....?

I'm not telling anyone what to do or not, or what to like or not. I'm just stating that I agree with the OP and why it is that I agree with it. Also I am hoping to enlighten some people who have gotten ripped off by Apple. I mean... however bad the storm was, its a whole lot better than a couple of months ago. Not something you can say for the iPhone, correct? 3rd generation "design" phone is it not? I'm not sure... but I guess it shouldn't take more than 1 try for a designer company to get it right, right? Or to give some support and firmware updates etc?

I can understand that some people would like to defend those kind of practices since they got taken with their eyes wide open. Sure, if you can't admit that well... then its much easier of course to close your eyes and keep taking it up the iButt.
On the other hand, if you have a little bit of spine, you'd throw it through the windows at your nearest iShop. Ok, that's a bit harsh maybe, even for Apple. Well... then at least bash the product until the creators show that they care for their users. Correct? Or is that a very strange thing to expect if you've got an iSht product? I bashed the storm to no end, and mr sillyballs too. Why? Cause at that time "they" deserved it.

Its the same for the iPhone, I'm on your side guys, but the ONLY way to STOP companies from those kind of iPractices is to let em feel it where it hurts. And guess what? That all starts with communities such as this one.

If the iUsers had bashed the product instead of wanting to be elitist designer iPersons and buy it by the millions, then maybe they would have had a working phone by now which doesn't fall apart. They didn't and still don't. So they deserve nothing better. Don't degrade a quality product like the storm or RIM by associating it with Apple and its iSht.

I think that that's the idea behind the widespread feeling that causes that kind of comments. That's reasonable to assume I would think.

Its pure psychology. Nothing more, nothing less. And Apple knows that. So actually I commend them for their wit.

If you like iphone themes, then you should have spent your money on an iphone and not a storm, two different animals. You are entitled to like oranges and apples, but you get weird when you start dressing the orange like an apple before you eat it.

Stop with all this if you use an iphone theme then get an iphone.

Everyone who uses a theme is a hypocrite according to this logic then.

If you want a storm then stop changing your theme. If you want a storm then only use a storm with a storm theme.

Its just a theme. Its not a statement against the storm. Themes don't equate to functionality and they def don't change software apps.

Anyone who wants an app that the iphone has is a hypocrite too then.

    This argument is ridiculous.

The bottom line is to use whatever theme is aesthetically pleasing to you and increases your enjoyment of the phone. There is no reason to discount something you like just because it copies a competitors style. Use what you like because you like it, simple as that.

Not pointing fingers at specific people, but in my experience the people that bash Apple/Mac have ZERO experience on them. I would know, I used to be one of those *******. Now I wouldnt go back to Windows because IMO OSX is 1000x better.

BTW, what Mac bashers fail to realize with their argument "Macs are way more $$$ than a PC" is we really choose to buy a Mac for the OS. You cant get OSX on a $hitty Dell box. IMO OSX and the aesthetics of a Mac are worth a premium price.

Hmmz... Some feel attacked... logically. I'm sorry for that. Since I also started a similar topic and am one of the mac bashers I'd like to say that what I mean (of course) is not what anyone can or can't or should or shouldn't do and/or like/use/design/buy but my opinion is that which I have stated.

Also I must say that for example I like the AppleBerry theme very much.

But that is a whole different project then most iThemes that I have seen up to now. It "deserves" the name Apple because there has gone a lot of work in it to make it look like it looks and should to be coupled with the OS. It is not like a lot of themes outthere that just place an icon of an apple on the desktop and call that an "i" theme just to hope to gain popularity. I guess that that is what I am saying even more than the things I have stated before.
