Teach them a lesson in CDMA :D
Hey I dl this one and the halo3 one love both of them. But when i changed back to the zen my email setup was still using the icon from the gears any idea how i can reset that icon?
When ever you change Theme's (and install any new software for that matter) it's a good idea to reboot the phone. This should clear up any issues such as previous theme overlays and icons showing.
a problem I've noticed is on the dialpad:: the GPS indicatoris on the 2nd line which causes part of the bottom buttons to get cut off.
not a big deal, more of a personal OCD quirk actually, but wondering if that can be adjusted?
attached thumbnails - 1st shows the 2nd line, 2nd shows the buttons cut off, 3rd is the precision zen for comparison
**NOTE** yes, these images are from a different theme, but the issue is also on the GOW theme.
That's strange, I don't get that on my phone. Are you sure it's not a bug in os 103 or something? Do you get it with the Zen theme?
I just got wet!!! thanks....
I noticed the same thing, Sever, but I'm running .103. Happens with other themes as well.
I'm also running .103, and notice it in other themes... but it's not SUCH a big deal as to downgrade just for this issue.
I was just hoping something like that could be addressed and updated for re-download because I really like the theme and don't want to not use it just because of that. like I said... OCD. (Or CDO- like OCD, but alphabetical like it should be!)
Don't think it's something that can be fixed i'm afraid, well not as far as I know. Hopefully it will be addressed in the final release of Plazmic 4.7, which as soon as it's out i'll be exporting the theme again using it.
Still find it interesting that this issue doesn't appear on my phone, could it be a difference between the 9500(EUR) and 9530(US)? (assuming it's not .103)
Can anyone confirm if it happens with the default theme or not?
So seeing other themes and their sizes I think I know why mine is so big. From my observations a lot of themes change every single background but leave the default icons, or they change all the icons and stick with one background.
Where as my theme changes every icon, as well as 7 background images. So (based on the wallpapers I have stored on my phone) if we say the average background image is 86kb, you're looking at a theme size of around 603kb before adding any icons. Then there's 114 (I think thats about right) icons you can change (I did every single one) as well as various overlays/selection images etc.
Just wanted to clear that up as I was a bit confused at first as to why my theme was generally bigger than others and i'm sure this is why.
Also something I would like to add is that memory usage (at least on my phone with default Vodafone .78) is exactly the same as it was with the default them.
On the OE theme Precision Zen, the dialpad is just as it should be.

Fantastic theme. And it runs nice and smooth too. Will have to do a battery pull to lose the COG highlight on Zen, but I can live with that until charge time. Particularly like the icon choice for the home screen on the app switcher.

Are you running .103 as well? from what I can tell so far only people with .103 are having this issue and it's not just with my theme.
I'm looking forward to the final release of Plazmic 4.7. Lots of bugs and things missing for the Storm at the moment, but then we are using a leaked beta.
Just to let anyone know who's using this theme, i'm working on a few changes, but I probably won't make it available until the final version of Plazmic 4.7 is released.
My thoughts at the moment:
* Fonts need changing (preferably to what ever the default Zen theme uses, these are different in the Plazmic version of Zen)
* Alternative icon highlight image
* Get rid of icon selection flash/glow on main screen, possibly make them bounce instead.
* Change a couple of icons (the only one I don't like is the saved folders icon)
* remove the COG logo on the apps screen, my feeling is the icons would work better on a black background. This will also bring the file size down a bit.
* Experiment with flipping the normal and focus icons around. At the moment they are desaturated, become saturated when in focus. I'm interested to see what this looks like the other way round, saturated, the desaturated when in focus.
If anyone else has any suggestions please let me know. Can't promise they'll make it in, but I'm keen to hear your thoughts.
Thanks
First of all I have to say that this theme is absolutely amazing and awesome, hands down the best I've seen. And it is sooooo much more interesting than insulting my superior BB to make it look like a half-@$$ PDA like the I phone.
I love the fact there is a different wallpaper when locked in either portrait or landscape, very creative, I also love the icons, but noticed that the call log button does not exist. Any ideas? I am running 4.7.0.103 but I am ok with the icons etc. maybe ones a little bit bigger? Also, I hate the Applications/Downloads, Setup, all those Icons that are the same, not because of you, I just dont like the Zen minimalist theme, needless to say I am a high-res icon whor3 that likes things shiny and glossy, or at least with some color or artistic flair. Do you have any ideas for other 360 or Ps3 themes?
I would also love to get into this myself, you can PM me if you are available, I would like to get your advice on how to get started, your work is definintely the right kind to learn from. And as much as the I phone's icons are glossy and shiny and hi-res (see above) I am just tired of plain ol "I want my superior phone to look like an inferior one" themes. LOL
Now for the suggestions you asked for for when 4.7 is officially released.
- Have the dialpad glow red not blue
- The font as you already are aware of
- Vcast Music, Navigator, Visual Voice Mail, Games, IM, Applications, Downloads, Setup should be changed to fit the theme
- Create a call log icon
- Create a Cog Specific theme, like for the background images that is, and maybe have the glow etc. blue and icons too, but same icon image
- Create a Locust specific theme, as above but have it be red and background images be locust themed
To close, your theme, has made my week, thank you thank you thank you, I am a diehard fan of GOW and love the theme. Thanks for your efforts, I look forward to 4.7 Plazmic Official and your amazing work to come. :D
Hey cloud,
Will certainly take your comments onboard
This is hidden in Applications, when in Applications hit the Blackberry key, then "Show All", select the call log icon, hit
the Blackberry key again and untick "hide", then you can turn off show all and the icon will be visible.
Unfortunately you can't edit these icons individually at the moment (as much as I wanted to). All you are able to create is
a default folder icon. You can however change the apps, games etc folders to use this icon, although it does mean they will
all look the same. Select the icon, hit the BB key, then Edit folder. You will then be able to change it to the folder icon
included with the theme. There seem to be a couple of bugs here though (on the Storm, not theme specific). The Save button
is missaligned, you need to click the bottom edge of the button to hit it. Also the icon may not stick when you hit save, to
fix this you have to rename the folder, eg Applications to Applications1, hit save, re-edit, name it back (Applications) hit
save again and the icon will stick.
Not sure what my next theme will be yet, just want to get this one working 100% first :) I was kind of thinking about making a completely original theme next which isn't based on anything but we'll see. With the work load I have at the moment i'd be surprised if I get time to make a new one for a while.
I'll send you a PM as to how I got going with this, but keep in mind I used Plazmic for the first time on Sunday to create this theme.
As for COG and Locust variations, this is plausible so i'll see what I can do once i've made updates using the final version of Plazmic 4.7. If you have some images in mind for each one let me know.
Cheers
have you thoguht about making a call of duty theme?
A cod5 would be sweet then I'd have my 2 fsvorite!!

Gears of War is awesome thanks for the theme
Highly doubt i'll make a cod4/5 theme as i'm barely going to have time to make the changes I want to make to the GoW theme. I did see someone is already working on a cod4 theme which is looking pretty cool.
Also i'd like my next theme to be 100% original.
Thank you for all the positive comments.
There aren't enough words to describe how clean this theme is... well done.
Please have a look at the first post in this thread for information on an update i'll be making live soon. I'll try and post images in the next day.
Some images, might not get to put the new theme up until next Tuesday, possibly Wednesday.
Images show main screen, then main screen after icon is selected. Home screen with new selection icon, as well as examples of how this selection icon looks with 3rd party icons.

Nice! Can't wait for the new version. Are the setup folder and instant messages folder going to skull folders too? if possible can you change those so they are
The skull folder icon isn't assigned to anything as such. It's the default custom folder icon for when you create new folders. You can however edit any existing folders (apps, setup etc) to use this icon, but it has to be done on the phone.
You can already do this with the current version of the phone by selecting the icon, press the Blackberry button then edit folder.
