I've just tested on the .75 simulator for 9530 and it works as expected in there. So I have it working in the .75 simulator for both 9500 and 9530, as well as official .78 and .100 for the 9500.

If what i've suggested doesn't work for you then I really don't think there is anything I can do my end.

just installed this theme on my device and it works great! the bouncing and all. im using a 9530 and so far i have no issues accuring. awesome theme. im a huge gears fan! great job zach!

Have you tried a battery pull? Power off the phone and remove the battery for 30 seconds. It works fine on my phone but then I have the European 9500 version. I'm downloading the 9530 simulator now to see if it works ok with that.

tried all of this not sure what it is..it still comes up like the stock zen theme on the homepage but the rest works fine just no bouncing icons..and i have the alienware theme with bouncing icons and it seems to work so i don't know..ive tried unistalling and reinstalling and all the battery pulling and everything but still no luck with bouncing icons..is anyone else that is having this problem getting any luck with it yet?

GREAT theme though i love it im def a gears of war 2 addict if anyone wants to play pm for my gamertag i got skills haha

Figured it out..I reset the theme defaults n it now works great..one question can u make an alt that has the time n signal all across the top like the default is? Don't know how much that would take but I think that would be a positive adjustment...overal great theme

Yes that's it I just figured that out too cuz it reset to default being 2 rows n the theme worked great but I only like one row so I switched n the problem arose again

Ah, yes. This is a custom theme so if you set it to 1 row or 3 rows it overrides it and uses Zen styling instead. Unfortunately it's not something I or any other theme maker can control.

Not really, as I hadn't used Plazmic before making this theme either (it was my first). Get a good idea in your head of what you want to achieve and dive right in. Make sure you give yourself plenty of time and have fun

Also have a look at the resources (icons etc) that come with Plazmic as it will give you a good idea of what you need to change/create as far as icons and other graphics are concerned.

Finally start with the custom template. The Zen template is easier to use but you don't have as much control over the end result. I also found custom more stable than Zen.

make your own. Get a program like photoshop or gimp and learn to make your own icons. They will be much more unique and exactly what you are looking for. I'm pretty sure the OP did this for his, I also did this for mine and found it to be much more enjoyable being able to customize things exactly as I wanted.

How are you trying to do this? Could do with some more information as to what you tried, what error you saw etc etc.

The OTA link is easiest and needs to be used directly on your phone, so email yourself the link, open on your phone and it will ask you if you want to install the theme.

The icons are based on the Xbox 360 Achievement images for both Gears of War 1 and 2. Despite this there was a lot of work involved in getting them to work in the context of phone icons, which in many cases involved creating entirely new icons, while also trying to keep them in the spirit of the original achievements.

Not quite as easy for PS3 games, although a couple of things you could look at for inspiration.

The PS3 MGS4 official theme (not sure how you'd get hold of the icons though). This could be cool as it would be relevant to the PS3 theme that fans of the game may already be familiar with.


Creating icons based on interlinking Hexagons as seen in the following image could work well too.

Try the official website, fan sites as well as having a look in the manual.

Do you just mean background changes or completely new icons as well? If just backgrounds that may not be too much of a problem. Any images you have in mind for each variation of the theme? Also I'm not sure at the moment if I'll get time to make them, plus I need to be careful not to host too much on my website due to traffic. Of course a donation would be a huge incentive ;-)

Throw some ideas for images my way and I'll see what I can do.

As I mentioned before the original theme and alt versions will be removed from my site soon. If anyone wants to grab the desktop install zips before they get deleted, you can do so at the bottom of the first post. I will delete them when I get home from work so they will be gone in about 3 hours.

Of course the latest version and today variant will stay online for all to enjoy.
