I have a script I use for monitoring the BES logs that I created originally for BES 5. The script was dependent on the logging info registry key to know where the logs were being stored (hklm:\software\wow6432node\research in motion\blackberry enterprise server\logging info)

The key doesn't appear to exist in either the "Research In Motion" or "BlackBerry" Parent keys in HKLM:\software or HKLM:\software\wow6432node.

Where does BES 12 now store this information?

    Hello fadmin,

I'm aware of the article linked to, and this doesn't answer my question. I need the script to be able to discover where the logs are stored, whether it's in the default location or not. That support article would require me to have the script iterate through the entire filesystem, whereas with BES 5, the path was easily obtainable from the Registry.

Is BES no longer storing its log path in the Registry with BES 12?

I did a quick search of my Registry for mine and I found the location under the uninstall location.

Where does BES 12 record the log directory?-capture.png

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Uninstall\BES12

    I hope that helps

    Hello MrEvets,

That exactly what I was looking for. I'd be curious to know what possessed BlackBerry to put it there, but that's definitely what I'm looking for.

My guess it's a dir that need to be removed when the product is uninstalled? It's the default dir so not sure if you change it there if it will move new log files or its just a refrence
