    Hi

    I'm using BES10, with Z10.
Every new phone number that I saved, goes to the local phone book and not to the my BES profile.

How can I make sure that all phone number save in the BES profile.

I'm hoping the u understand my question..
    (I'm sorry about my English)

    Thanks

When adding a new contact at the top of it you'll see the options of Personal or Work, Personal is local to the device and Work will sync to your email server.

This I understand, however, I'm very frustrated by the fact that if I go into my Work contacts and conduct a Remote Search (so against the GAL in Active Directory) if I then add a result from the search it always goes into the local contacts !. Why does it do this when I just searched against the GAL which is obviously work only !.

    Hi

    Thank you for your answer,
I don't know how I never saw this option before...

My last question is, if it's possible to move existing name from LOCAL address book to BES.

    Thanks for all

    No, it's not.

However, the latest leaked OS 10.2.1.575 has this feature in it...

Contacts can be copied to different backends.

... so it looks like those that have the ear of BlackBerry have told then to sort it out !.

Fatboy40 is entirely correct. This feature is "coming". You can try to use Link to synchronize to a desktop Outlook, export then import to your work mail program. This *should* work, but I have never tried it.

Does BBlink backup both work and personal address books?

Does BBlink Outlook Sync sync from all the device address books to Outlook, meaning BES contacts as well?

    Thanks for any responses.

It is likely only the personal side. Which is why you would have to export those results or move them to the appropriate contact folder.
