I had to use eas.outlook.com 443 because the default is m.hotmail.com and that just doesn't work, but this will have to be set in the bes12 control panel .

Hi Ali,
thank you for the answer. We have an SMTP connection, too. I think we try the allow these ports and test it:
Exchange 443 TCP <-> 443 TCP BES12
SMTP Server 25 TCP <-> 25 TCP BES12
(SMTP Server 587 TCP <-> 587 TCP BES12
secured)
DNS 53 TCP/UDP <-> 53 TCP/UDP BES12
What do the others think about this?
Normally the communication from requires a dynamic port, aka bes 1024-65535>443 mail, and usually you only need open 1 way depending on firewall system.
For smtp, choose 1, if doing smtps then open rule for 587, otherwise 25, not both. Of note, you can do smtps over port 25, depends on setup
