I can't seem to figure out what's going on here. BES 4.1.7 with Exchange 2003. More than likely it was an Exchange software update that hosed me, but I can't seem to figure out where the underlying issue is.

MAPI on the BES and Exchange machines match, as well as cdo.dll.

Only affecting one user, me. Here's what happens in the MAGT log for me when I receive mail.

    Code:
    [40423] (02/15 12:09:39.403):{0xA14} {[email protected]} Queuing new mail through notification (external). EntryId=12465
    [40724] (02/15 12:09:39.403):{0xE60} {[email protected]} Get record key for this MAPI object, EntryId=12465
    [40435] (02/15 12:09:39.433):{0xE60} {[email protected]} Queuing new mail through notification. EntryId=12465. Msgs Pending 0
And that's it. Nothing else. However if another user receives, I see this:

    Code:
    [40423] (02/15 05:04:08.138):{0x38C} {[email protected]} Queuing new mail through notification (external). EntryId=41116

So why is mail to my box not hitting the 'Message Pending' flag and actually sending? BESAdmin has permissions to read from my account (that look the same as the working user), so where else should I look? Is this BES or Exchange causing the issue?

    Thanks in advance!

I had a similar issue with a user, though it was BES 5.x and Notes/Domino. I couldn't see anything out of the ordinary. What I ended up doing was turning off all connections on his phone and turning them back on again. Just like that everything was flowing again.

Thank you for the reply. I gave it a shot, and no-go. I've pulled the battery, re-activated on the BES, removed the user and re-added to the BES..

I think i've narrowed it down to not syncing the inbox. Sent items it syncs. Calendar, notes, practically everything else but incoming emails, and only to the desktop account.

With the messages above, is it a server-side issue or device-side? The problem is I don't know where to look to see what's going on. Wireless reconciliation is turned on in the BES. I'm at a loss..

On the device check under Options -> Security -> Firewall and make sure Enterprise email isnt being blocked there.

Its also possible (at least on my v5.0 device) to disable a specific email account under Messages -> Options -> Inbox Settings

Thanks GlenB, I actually found the issue.

I have no idea how it happened, but when I was poking through Desktop Manager (which I only use to upgrade the OS on the blackberry), I noticed in the Email Settings that it was set to only sync specific folders.

Apparently it was only syncing Sent Items. I set it to 'Sync Inbox and Sent Items', and it's working again.

I have NO idea how that setting got changed. I don't leave Desktop Manager running, so maybe something just got corrupted somewhere, but it seems to have done the trick. Thank you for your suggestions, and hopefully this helps someone in the future! (And hopefully it STAYS working.)

No problem Jahntassa, glad to hear you got it sorted out.

Selecting the folders for redirection can also be done using Blackberry Manager on the BES itself, so perhaps someone changed it there?
