I am on BES (hosted) with a Bold 9900. Consider purchasing Z10 or Z30. Since I am self employed I would like to cancel the separation between the Personal And Work Space.
    Is this possible?

Yeah, you just run the device without bes and everything will be personal.

Thank you for your reply, but I want to continue using BES with my Microsoft Exchange Account (have also a few other e mail accounts - g mail, Pop account, outlook com.)_

When you activate on the BES10, a personal and work profile is created on the BlackBerry 10, and there is no way getting around that.

What you can do is see if the IT policies pushed to your device are as relaxed as possible to minimise restrictions / use.

Is it possible to add as an activesync personal account instead? If so - and if you don't want the BES balance features - then what additional advantage is their of having the account as a BES work account (except maybe S/MIME functionality)

Thank you for your reply. Does the activesync account have all the features of A BES work account such as synchronization of Notes and Taks , different colored flags, synchronization of email folders, keeping e mail messages forever, etc? If so, you are absolutely right, and it could also save me the BES costs of my carrier.

Yes you get that through plain ActiveSync so it doesn't sound like you need BES any more.

With BES10 it's more about remote configuration, management and security of the device and data rather than how you work with your mailbox. ActiveSync takes care of that part now.
