Hello,

I'm running across a strange error message when trying to poll the licensing server in BMS on our BES10.2. I'm using AD authentication and the user is an administrator on BES server. The error says that this user account doesn't have the required permissions to perform this action. I'm relatively new to working with BES, so if any one has an idea I would very much appreciate your input.

If a user without the Security Administrator role logs in to BlackBerry Management Studio and clicks the "Test connection" button on the Switch server window, the following error message appears: “An error has occurred and the requested action cannot be performed”. The user should receive an error message that they do not have the permissions required for this task. (DT 7158871)

Try a security administrator login and see if it works.
