I've got a pressing need now to start testing the Z10, but I can't really do this until BES 10.1 is out (and of course 10.1 on the Z10 as well but I see that it's officialy out with the carrier Globe in the Philippines (we have an office there) so it will be probably be pushed soon from UK carriers as well where I reside).

It looks like other than possible 'during May' floating around forums like here there's no genuine release date ?.

I'll reach out to the carrier/provider we use in the UK but I realy doubt our account manager would have a clue about this.

    Thanks.

    60 days!

Ok really no one knows for sure since every carrier releases on their own time. Some are already releasing it now

Of course the software update for the Z10 itself is carrier dependant (and we can only guess on that one) but what about BES 10.1 ?, the update to BES 10 itself is the one thing that BlackBerry itself still has control over now that carriers are dictating the device OS releases to them.

I've e-mailed our account manager and he comes back with any genuinely useful info I'll post it here.

Thanks for that. Would you consider it worthwhile to install BES 10 as it stands now onto my VMware cluster then upgrade or wait until 10.1 is officialy available ?.

Where can you get it? Even the official Blackberry Alliance Partners did not get the 10.1 yet.....

Wait for it to come out unless you are planning to run it in a test environment

BES 10.1 is already out for enterprise preview members.

It is expected that official announcement and launch will occur at BlackBerry Live May 14. Public availability should come shortly after this.

I think it's worth waiting for Certainly wait for May 14 to get more details. Watch the opening address by Thorsten - should be interesting

    Or maybe 10.1 MR1

Depends on level of comfort obviously.

This is a thread with at least some of the features:

A little while back CrackBerry had a post with features of the 10.1 leaks and it was quite a few features and that was only a leak can't wait for the official update

That information wasn't official BES 10.1 info, if it were someone at BlackBerry would have lost their job. BBRY is very tight lipped about new features on service packs and devices until the day they are released. Other companies are like this too, one that comes to mind is EMC. EMC has been known to sue its own employees over information they have leaked out.

Most of the leaked information was spot on, and originated from BlackBerry through one fashion or another. It was very likely someone that broke their NDA to release that. RIM/BB does indeed remove employees that disclose information in this fashion.
