    Afternoon,
Our BES server is currently on version 10.1.0 and I am trying to install MR1 (10.1.1). But I am having an issue with the Setup wizard.

I get to the "Database Information" section of the wizard and everything is greyed out, also as you can see from the screenshot a "dynamic"
    port is selected.

BES 10.1.0 update problems to 10.1.1-bes10.1.1update.jpg

When i hit next (regardless if backup the database option is checked or not) i recieve the error "Microsoft SQL Server does not support
using a dynamic port with an unnamed instance". And I am not able to proceed.

When I first installed BES 10 I configured the database information to a static port of 1433.

Is anyone able to tell me what I must do to proceed with this update?

We are running Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 (RTM) version 10.50.1600.1 64Bit on Windows 2008 R2 DC SP1.

    Kindly advise,

    Regards,
    A

You should not have played with the database information the initial installation. I would recommend you call BlackBerry TSS and have them fix it for you since you went outside of best practices when you did the initial installation.

Are you using the 10.1.1 upgrade? If so, download the newer 10.1.2 upgrade, it fixes *some* issues in the upgrade process. Follow the upgrade guide exactly and you will be good to go. Upgrade guide located here:
