Why does my Blackberry Q5 Update keep asking me to free up more space?

It was a common thing for me but i could fix it with deleting every apps and reinstalling them after the update. But this time with 10.3.1 update it needs 2.5+gb free space. I first tried to update it via Link but 2 times in a row some kind of error message appeared at the almost end. And my free space just got lessened.. I tried to delete everything and i have no more app which can use storage. My musics is in SD card. I even deleted my email accs but i still need 1.7 gb more space for update. And there is no way to create that space for me for now. I just want to now that why i am unable to update via link. Even if somehow i can create that space i cant risk it again cuz it took almost 5 hour for that update(i tried twice). And i am pretty sure that i will have 0 space if it fail again.. I need help

Back-up what remains through Link and perform a security wipe. Proceed with an upgrade then. This issue has been addressed by BlackBerry and CB did a homepage article as well. The install size is bigger than the file size.

I did that without wipe. The problem occured for me yesterday, today I tried downloading update via BlackBerry Link and it worked flawlessly.

I was having the same issue. I backed up just my contacts and settings. Everything else was on my media card. Did a security swipe and it worked after that. Is way better now but I find it a bit heavier than 10.2
