    As you know after 10 failed unlock attempts the phone does a security wipe, does it just wipe the phone or does this affect the data on the SD card too?

    Doesn't touch the card. I've wiped my phone many times and nothing on my card was touched.

    Should also note if your card contents are encrypted they will be of little to no use after the wipe. Hope you did not encrypt the SD card.

    Thanks guys, i did not wipe my phone, i just wanted to know if it wipes the SD too, i have encrypted it because i already got 2 phones stolen, i just want to be on the safe side.

    If its encrypted i have to decrypt it before the wipe, if not it will be uuseless
