    Trying to add a contact simply by typing it into the main contact app on Q5. Every time I hit 'save' it simply bumps me back to the main screen and the contact is not saved. Help please..............

    What OS are you running on your Q5 and have you tired a different one that is compatible and newer. That may help.

    OS is 10.2.0.429, supposed to be the latest.

    I bought my dad a gently used Fido/Rogers Q5 yesterday.

    The guy wiped it for me. The phone worked fine but my dad wasn't prepared to enter any contacts.

    Today he wants to enter some and nothing was being saved.

    I found your post. I ended up wiping the phone, updated the OS (23mb) and the problem is now solved.

    All the contact entry tries actually ended up syncing in Hotmail.

    Wipe the phone. It should help.
