Hi! I just bought a Q5 that is for UK so I got the original BB UK charger (AC power supply) which I cant use here in Sweden, so they also sent an extra charger (not an original BB charger) within the package. How important is it to have the correct charging out, and input to a phone, can it even ruin a phone to charge it the wrong way?

    The BB original charger:
    input: 100-240V - 100mA 50-60Hz
    output: 5v = 850 mA

The extra (not original BB) charger:
    input: 100-240V - 350mA 50-60Hz
    output: 5V - 2A LPS

So please anyone who knows this stuff - did I get the right charger?

You should be ok, the voltage matches up, the higher mApms will mean faster charging.

Thanks for the help! If the battery is ok with the faster charging, well that's good. It takes about 1 hour and a half to charge the battery from zero.

Its just like using the PlayBook charger to charge your device, works fine, just faster, OR using a iPad charger on an iPhone, same thing, twice as fast, BUT compatible because the voltage is the same.

Just need to ad that when charging the screen gets over sensitive to touches, and also the "ghost touches" starts to appear after a short while. Sms gets annoying - sub menus pops up without touching and so on. Seems like something gets wrong when charging.

Well that IS an issue, that sounds like a voltage problem. In that case I would NOT use that charger. Could be it is mislabel, or broken, or does not have proper voltage regulation.

BlackBerry playbook charger (with the yellow micro USB plug) is the best as you can swap plugs while travelling.

Amazon UK charged 3 or 4 quid delivered with UK Schuko US &? Oz? plugs to swap.

Only downside is its big & the interchangeable plugs detatch if knocked when plugged in (too easily).

For Sweden take a look at the energy saving Nokia ?AC-10? which only chargers at 1.2A but drops to a tiny trickle once charged.
