I'm thinking about retiring my BlackBerry Q5 until 10.3 comes out as no Android apps seem to be working for me, and the OS isn't working to great for me, but I thought I'd see if anyone knows anyway I can fix the stability of the OS and the fact that Android Apps aren't working to great, also my phone seems to be over-heating and freezing a lot recently, any help would be great!

    What have you tried?
What Android Apps don't work to great? Crash, Don't load, don't function?

Have you done a Security Wipe?
How about reloading the OS to the most recent "official" version?

Most android apps work very well on that OS.
You need to figure out the ones that don't work well yet.
Also, update your OS to the latest OS available (not 10.3 but if you have that courage you can load up 10.3.0.296)

Yes it should. However, you must note that it is not a complete OS and you have experience some issues.

Chances are it is your phone, I have most of the apps mentioned on my Q5 working. Same os too

Look in device monitor see what is draining your battery and cpu/ram resources. Un install or update all apps too.

Half of the android apps you complaining not working have a native version in BBW yet you are blaming the Os. Do REMEMBER that android is designed for android, not BlackBerry. If you can't afford to pay for native apps then why even bought smartphone that cost hundred times more that the app.

Symbian is still and always my favourite Os. Nokia 808

I have bought a native Instagram app I just prefer Instagrams own app, as for Netflix haven't seen anything for that or Candy Crush, also I didn't blame the OS for the apps not working, I said the apps were not working and the OS isn't working great for me, also I didn't pay for the phone.

You need an older version of Candy Crush. Latest from Google Okay crashes. Search for the apk file and you will be fine.

I agree: The app situation is not good. Even the Amazon deal will only resolve generic or US apo gaps, but many others are still missing.

I'll search Google for one, thank you! and I'm not really looking forward to it I've used the Amazon App Store on my phone and it's not exactly the best thing in the world, most of the apps on there don't work on my Q5 because of the screen size so I'm looking into getting a Z30

FYI: I just tried to update Candy Crush using Snap on my Z30 with OS 10.3. The latest version now works. I don't know if it is because I upgraded the older CC version or if the latest release of CC contains some fixes.

Some levels are significantly easier though ...

Please check your available storage. If it is nearly full up, your phone will simply not work very well. I had this issue on my nephews Q5. Start by clearing the CB10 app cache and make sure you use a media card for pics and things.

I always use my SD card for photos and things but I rarely keeps photos on my phone I usually upload them to OneDrive and then delete them from my phone, and I have most apps set to clear cache when I close the app
