Currently I have the z10 and love BlackBerry 10 But all my legacy BlackBerry have had keyboards. And I guess I just can't beat the keyboard addiction. Im really interested in getting the Q5 I actually like the design. But I have a question for current Q5 owners who have another BlackBerry 10 device.
Is it still as fast as as the other BlackBerry 10 device ?
Has it gotten any slower due to updates?

I 1000% recommend it its dose not go slow after updating and its just like the Q10 I would deffo get one I have one my self witch im typing on and the new 10.2 and im telling you now I have never been happy I will never part with this bad boy (: hope this helps any questions m8 fire away

It is not, and has never been as fast as the z10 or q10. It is however a solid phone that runs smooth. I love my q5, downgraded from the zed, love it.

A great phone for sure. Mind you I'm thinking of the Z10 for the screen size. Keep that in mind when you decide.

It is a pretty fast phone if I compare to my Z10 but still it as only 8GB of memory and for $100 more If you buy it on Kijiji the Q10 would be better! 16GB camera 8 compare to 5 and batterie life is better!

I prefer the keyboard and screen (much better) over the Q10. If you are buying off contract, the Q10 is a big jump from the Q5 ($ wise). Camera and memory are better on the Q10 of course, but the Q5 holds its own in all other areas plus it comes in some interesting colours. The Q5 speaker and battery life are really outstanding (stellar business phone).

Can't go wrong with either though.

What do you primarily use your phone for?

I believe your answer to that will guide you as to which phone is right for you.

If you are a business user, and use it for its calendar/organizing/messaging properties, then you will enjoy the Q5

If you use your phone for apps/games/media, then stick with the Z; there are many apps that are not available for the Q5/Q10 that are available for the Z series (ie: Flipboard) Also you would be sacrificing screen space which isn't ideal if you are a gamer.

I've got the Q5 it is a solid phone. However I am thinking of switching back the the Z10 for the larger screen.

Anyways the Q5 is solid, and reliable you won't regret it

It's NOT the fastest thing on the planet, and it's not as fast as the other BB 10 devices.

But it IS pretty fast and does not lag. Much. Very rarely.
