I hope I'm missing something obvious here: is there any way to change the size of the message window when composing a text message?

It's a bit smaller than I would like generally, and then yesterday for the first time I sent a text with several recipients and I could barely see what I was typing at all!

Nah, no way to change it. Not missing any thing.

You can bring down the font size, maybe that will help? It's in the general display settings I think
