I can't get over my q5! It's the cheapest and slowest on paper of a daily use device that I bought on sale not even having a reason to as it really was the least appealing to me of all the bb10s but it's gotta somehow be one of the smoothest and quicker at getting things done among competitor devices I have.

I just deleted all my apps and replaced them with z10 ones. Aside from maybe some differences, I went from having 5 pages to 7 of apps. Pretty happy about that and even the unsupported ones which I thought would have black bars or run sideways on the screen run proper and in full on the square display which is a bonus! ( it's now a music studio among other things! )

The pkb is not even the big selling point to me but typing this on my beloved new iPod is giving me a whole 'nother appreciation for it as I don't find myself cursing aloud while using my q5 . Could just be what I'm used to. For me, it's the size, screen, battery, sound, and productivity that are all really good and pretty close to being great; if only some newer bb tech coulda made its way into a q5 reboot; like a q15!

Mine's black with a bb red soft shell xD. People don't shoot it down either, like there's an untold liking for something which can be used one handed this day and still perform well.

I have had my q5 for what must be 3 years, rock solid. Keep thinking of upgrading but difficult to justify when it just does the job. A new phone is definitely calling though after all these years.

Mine went a little belly up (http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...op-q5-1058122/). I couldn't restore it at all after the boot loop issue, but eventually I was able to reinstall the OS via autoloader. The screen doesn't turn on but the keyboard lights up when I hit power, and at one point I heard the assistant voice kick in. "It's alive!!!"

I'm using an Android phone as a backup for now, but I think I can revive my Q5. I really hope so; I love this little guy. Everything about it feels right (except for the backing, but that's easily remedied with a case).

Had one as a back-up device for years, but it is now my main phone since my Q10 died. It's a good enough phone, but I miss my Q10 Keyboard. Can't get used to the plasticy feel of the Q5 keys.

As soon as I can afford a passport the Q5 will be demoted to back-up phone once more, I'm afraid! ;-)

Love Q5 so much. Count me also. Thinking of buying another, or Q10, but it is really interesting idea to have another Q5 as a backup. Long live BB10 OS on Q5. I would buy and a licence for BB10 OS if that is the only way BB10 OS for surviving (y)

Just FYI I've actually noticed a difference in battery consumption (decreased) between having fewer pages and folders as opposed to more app pages. Try it you may like it!
