I got a new Q5 yesterday to replace my old one. In addition, I have a 9810. I transferred the files from the 9810 to the new Q5 with no problems. I then decided to transfer the files from the old Q5 to the new Q5, but it ended up deleting some data (some texts and pictures) from the 9810. Some of the data was left intact but some of it was deleted. Why is this so, and how can I prevent it from happening? What is the easiest way to get my data from both phones to the new phone? Thanks

Well you can do a device switch whereby you plug one phone in and then the new one to transfer the data over. however, if you plug in a SECOND phone to transfer data over, I think it will erase what you had moved already. I don't know how you would copy the data from two phones using Link.

You may have to drag and drop data from the second old phone to your PC and then plug in the NEW Q5 and drag it over. Make sense?

I hope there is another way. Maybe someone else has an easier and better way for you. I sure hope so.

I'd try connecting the phones to a PC or Mac with a USB cable, then browse the camera, documents, photos, etc. folders to compare what's on each phone. You could combine what you want to keep on your PC first and then copy that to your new phone. Make sure you're not accidentally overwriting files with the same names.

You could try backing up the old Q5 and then restoring it to the new one. Device switch is finicky.
