Hey guys, is it possible that I create groups between my contacts, on my Q5? On my android device I used to make groups between my contacts for example a group for my friends from my medical class, so if I want to send them a message I just clicked on this grup and they all got my message, is this possible on blackberry Q5? Or do I need to pick every contact one by one?

    Thank you for your help.

If you are running the 10.2.1.xxxx leak, you can create Contact groups. I use them to email and TXT groups. I don't know exactly when Contacts groups were added but I think it was 10.2.1.1055. That is just one of many reasons to run 10.2.1.1925 (the current leak).

I have this version, should I be able to make contacts? There is no further update for my device.

Your OS version does NOT have Contact groups. If you are willing to install a leaked OS, you can follow these instructions I wrote. If you are not willing to install a leaked OS or, if your job does not permit it, you will need to wait for an official release of BB10 10.2.1.1925 (10.2.1.537) or higher.

Ok I get it, but is the leaked os something like a jailbreak or what kind of good points does it have?

The leaked OS is not like a jailbreak or rooted phone. It is an OS directly from BlackBerry with all BlackBerry signed code. It is safe to use. They sometimes have bugs as systems are updated but not fully debugged. Normally the community here in CrackBerry will warn if major problems exist. The current OS: 10.2.1.1925 is very stable. Some people have experienced problems but that is true of "official" OS releases also. And, of course, you can always go back to an "offical" OS if you have insurmountable problems.

BlackBerry sends OS update through mobile phone companies (carriers). Often, the carriers take a very long time to release the update, if at all. Many of us want the features in the new OS and are tired of waiting for our carrier to release it. That is the main reason to install a leak.
