Depends on the user and how smart they are.... yes you can get a version of Instagram to work.

I haven't personally tried Instagram, but it should work.

Some people mention it works on the Q10, so Q5 should be similar. Still, it seems pretty unanimous that people prefer Igrann.

Do you have a Q5? If so, why not try it out?

My Q5 is on order, so I will try it out. Just wanted to ask this question, while keeping out the Igrann conversation. I read through the first 10 pages of this forum, and also trying the "Search Forum" and could not get a good answer.

With the Q5 being on sale for $159, I just could not resist buying it. Now, of course, the white Passport will probably come out this month... and then, I'll order that one too.

Yes, instagram does work on the Q5. I have it up and running and have used it to post numerous photos. I find it really handy especially while on holiday.
It`s not too bad with the shorter screen but you just have to scroll up and down a bit more than with say the Z10/Z30 screen.

The only "bug" per se is that when you're taking a photo the ratio looks weird and it's not centred, but when the picture comes out it looks fine. Just takes a pit of practice to compensate for the camera.

Oops! Forgot to say, this is assuming you have the phone sideloaded and can load android apps of course!

Lololol. Was hoping the first response would be about iGrann.

Anyway, to the matter at hand. Yes, it does work.. I've been using it since the day I found out about side-loading and it's one of the Android apps I've had no problem with. See screenshots below:

Thanks for the answer!! I was totally expecting more than one igrann response. One of the first things I do with my new BlackBerry is show off all the apps, so I will sideload Instagram right away!

If you have installed 10.3.1.1151, you can zoom in and out of the screen (by swiping from the top) to maximise space efficiency.
