Hello everyone.

I just upgraded to 10.2 on my q5 using sachesi.
I'm an italian user, so accents are really important to me.
The problem is that it seems i cannot access them anymore. When i try to hold down the character as i always did, it just repeats itself not giving me the special character choice i used to get.
I already went through similar topics on this and other forums, and tried every solution, but nothing works.
Can someone please offer me a way out of this?

Same issue, I am a German user and can not access them any more. I noticed that during some reboots it works and then sometimes it does not.

Not the same. It never works for me and i rebooted many times.

Check your language settings. Also check what your current keyboard is by pressing Alt+Enter.

Whenever you can type something, like in BBM. This allows you to have multiple keyboard layouts, say QWERTY and QWERTY_NB, and quickly and easily switch between them.

I suggest this because I had a similar problem before, and it was because it was switched to that keyboard. I just removed that option because I never use it.

What version of 10.2 you have installed? if it is 10.2.0.1761 , then just change to 10.2.0 1791 it solved a similar problem for me.

I just checked, and i have the 10.2.0.1791 as well. So i don't think it's that.

it's not happening on my Q5 but sometimes this happened to me on my former curve. Never knew what happened but i always suspected about a permanenly pressed alt or shift. Try to press alt or shift and keep the key pressed and see if accents appear

ok, now it's happening to me...

i think it's something related to alt+enter. more data, as you see, autocorrection is off, despite i have it activated (caps after dot), also i cant keep alt pressed and type several alt numbers, can't evev press alt+m simultaneously to type a dot, have to press alt and them m.

i'll look for the solution and let you know

ok looks like we have to bakcup everything, do a security wipe and recover backup. which in the end is a "have you tried turning it off (reinstall) and on again?"

I had it again and solved it with a wipe. Recovering from backup actually broke everything again.

I suspect in my case that some settings from my bold 9780-z10-q10 migration let the blackberry keyboard app crash.

Hello all,

I just recently made the update on my bold 9900. I'm using French and accents are very important too. Since the update, the order of the choices has been change so finding the most usual accent became kind of annoying when I pressed the track pad. My question : does anybody know how to change the order on the choices offered.
