Based on my extremely scientific approach, the next phone will be the H10, which will have a Hidden Keyboard.
    Z Y X W V U T S R Q P O N M L K J I H G F E D C B A
    Z(finger wipe gesture)10
    Q(werty)10
    H(hidden keyboard)10

Then it will be the high end A (awesome)10 and then low end K(keep it simple)10 and U(under valued)10.

If they make one similar to torch, I would feel regretful for getting a z10. Big screen + physical keyboard

I want a Q myself. a torch style would have to be a consideration as well. it would have to be thin for my needs

I think the X10 name will get used for a sliding keyboard deice. X like crossover though H10 (hybrid might work as well)

They need something very inexpensive that will sell for <$200 off contract for the developing market
I actually think they would be better off just keeping their "old" line going as it seems to be a better product for the developing market with the low data usage and lower device cost.

Going to be difficult to compete against Android's and Nokia's that are pretty full featured smartphones for less than $200 if all you have is a $600 device

At the very lowest end of the market they have already said that they are sticking with bb7 for now.

I'm predicting a sort of "mini Z10" will launch next, i.e. 3.7 to 4.0" with an 800x480 display and a camera "limited" to 5.0 MP, and of course no LTE. Probably a lower-end dual core CPU, maybe 1.0 Ghz? Android and WP devices targeting the low end to lower mid range segment (under $300 off contract) always fall into this category, i.e. the Galaxy Ace IIx or the HTC 8S. Given that 800x480 displays are still in the majority for Android/WP handsets, jumping on that "bandwagon" could help Blackberry to save some costs (standard parts) and appeal to even more people.
They have confirmed that they are not going to be doing another resolution and fragmenting the app situation, realistically with that limitation we are not going to see a lower cost all-touch anytime soon and it makes it more likely that the only lower cost model this year will be that qwerty model that has been seen in leaks already.

Just saying, the Q10 and Z10 may have, simply, got their names from scrabble pieces. I would expect a low end BB10 device first, and a higher end one slightly later. I can imagine the low end being launched with even more staggering, as there would be little incentive in spending major effort to have it released in the US.

If I had to guess this is what I think is going to happen.

The z10 and q10 right now are blackberry's top end handsets. In a few months they will come out with a low range full touch and touch/keyboard model. By the time that holiday season comes around again the z10 and q10 will of aged significantly and their specs will not be on par with the top handsets anymore. I feel that the z10 and q10 will be on par with most mid range products, and so they will slip down to fill the void, and blackberry will come out with the much rumored aristo and a keyboard equivalent to replace the z10 and q10 as blackberry's flagship phones.

I don't think we are going to see an exact match on releases e.g. it would be easier to make changes to the qwerty device to save enough costs to make a lower end model viable, but that would not really be the case with an all-touch one and in reverse there would be less scope or need to do an upgraded qwerty as unlike the all-touch they couldn't make a drastic size change.

It makes more sense to have a BB10 device late fall or just before Christmas to compete with other high end device launches.

I completely agree, by then the z10 will no longer be a top tier smartphone and they'll need to upgrade the specs to make it competitive. What would you guys be looking for in a new full touch blackberry?

And I agree with skeevacr, I see your point of view. I do think making a low end touch and a higher end keyboard phone is viable though. For the touch maybe a bit smaller screen, lower res screen, no lte, maybe a 5megapixel camera. Just bump everything down. I do agree though that processor wise and ram wise it needs at least a dual core processor with 2 gigs of ram to run smoothly. To upgrade the keyboard phone maybe a 1080p screen? All new top end phones are getting those now a days. Maybe quad core and 4 gigs of ram? Thinner, lighter 10 mega pixel camera? I agree it may seem incremental. But those little tiny differences in specs are what differentiates most people from getting phone A over phone B.

i don't think that Blackberry will follow either their old way of producing devices, and they won't do like what Samsung and HTC and Nokia do
i think they'll follow the way what Apple are doing right now, Somehow 4 Devices maximum a year

And i don't think there will be a low end device: Thorsten Heins: BlackBerry won't sell sub-$50 phones

    S10 (S for Slider device)
