First, y key is as responsive as other keys, just don't type y anymore,
2nd , the strange thing is when I swipe upwards to wake up the phone, the window always pops up saying to assign the shortcut for "Y", and if I assign a shortcut of app for Y, the app will pop up...
the Y key was perfect before I updated to the latest 10.3.2, I strongly suspect it's a software issue, and BB doesn't allow me to downgrade now.....
Anything to do ?????
Still have nearly a month to wait for the new keyboard....

Otherwise can I assign another key in the keyboard to Y?? such as the key left to ENTER with the audio symbol on it.

You may try turning off swipe to wake. I don't know how that would help but it's worth a try if you haven't already done so.

I think another person asked this question in another thread, you may want to search this problem but as far as I know nobody had a solution. I also haven't kept up with that thread.

Thanks, swipe to wake doesn't really bother me anyway, the y key issue is more annoying.......
So it's still hardware problem then??

I don't know whether it is hardware or software but if I had to guess....probably hardware. Can you purchase and change out your keyboard for a new one?

Today I finally know it is NOT hardware problem, I bought TWO new keyboard, and both have the EXACT same problem, Y is not working!!!
Soooo disappointed in Blackberry, this is so-called biggest forum, yet no one can find what my phone's issue is.....
and I am using the newest os...
