Update! I found a White Q10 with the following specifications. Would this one work with TMobile???

    WHITE Q10
    LTE: 700MHz (Band 17) / 850MHz (Band 5) / 1900MHz (Band 2) / AWS (Band 4)
    HSPA: 2100MHz (Band I) / 1900MHz (Band II) / 850MHz (Band V)
    GSM: 850MHz / 900MHz / 1800MHz / 1900MHz

    Or... ANOTHER White Q10:
    LTE compatibility 700/850/1700/1900 MHz HSPA/UMTS compatibility 850/900/1900/2100 MHz GPRS/EDGE compatibility 850/900/1800/1900 MHz

Oh I am always the bearer of bad news...

First one no. LTE band is way off. Also UMTS bands are way wrong.

Second one, still wrong UMTS bands.

Need the one with LTE 1700, and UMTS 1700

Well, I guess you're actually the bearer of good news. Imagine how bad it would be to drop all that cash and have something that doesn't work to full capacity. So...sure....this is where we cue up that "you lose" The-Price-Is-Right sound effect. But, it is what it is I guess.

BTW, those specs are from the new white Q10s from Telus and Bell in Canada.

Anyway...time to load up on some junk food and get my sugar-high on.

Thanks for that. Glad I'm appreciated.

I still think a t-mobile Q10 from their store and replacing the housing is your best bet to end up with a device you'll be happy with for the next year or two...

then have a cell repair guy replace everything to white. You will have to buy the digitizer seperately. You can probably get a craigslist, T-Mobile Q10 for 350 now.

Does it have to be a certain kind of digitizer? I know when I replaced my Bold 9900's digitizer, it was like some weird number...something like 2000-4 or 2000-5, some format like that. And if you bought the wrong number, it just wouldn't work.

I won a Q10 but it's black and I already have a black one, so I wanted to get it switched to all white, so I'm doing some homework now to see how the best way to do it is.

I don't think that is the issue with the new bb10 devices. The q10 and Z10 has the exact same motherboard, cameras, and sensors. When you buy the digitizer, make sure it is for the Q10 LTE version. They seperate them by LTE and NONLTE, because the motherboards are different naturally. That is the only differentiator.
Here is one with LCD and Digitizer.

I think you will have no problem using the black one you have now if you had no choice.

So basically, if you don't mind being on 3G then a verizon q10 won't cause you problems on t-mobile? I have wifi at home and work and pretty much everywhere I visit so I don't care much for high data speeds.

Just thought I would post my experience hopefully it'll help someone. I bought a used Verizon q10 on ebay (black model) its the Sqn100-2 and im getting 4glte with my tmobile sim card. I also get their "4g" if i choose to not use lte. Not sure if this differs from location to location but here in the dallas area both the Verizon q10 and tmobile z10 that i have both perform the same. I haven't found any in capabilities with the q10. Hope it helps.

I was under the impression that VZW was CDMA in the states and you can use their phone overseas with a GSM sim card.
AT&T and T-Mobile are gsm here in the states. and that goes back to the 8800

So this means that a Verizon Q10 will work on AT&T, but only in HSPA+, correct?

Why so eager to poke everyone in the eye with a needle with this question? and don't say your trying to help.

I will spell it out for you one more time but I'm getting frustrated with the deliberate spread of misinformation...

There is currently NO white Q10 or Z10 that will work to full capability or capacity with T-Mobile US.

    You have three options:

1 Verizon Q10 which has UMTS support only for overseas and you will get EDGE most of the time here in the US. No LTE either!

    2. Rogers Q10 which would be fine if you had AT&T but on T-Mobile you will get EDGE when you are in a non-refarmed coverage area which is quite common.

    3. Get a black, intended for T-Mobile Q10, and get the full BlackBerry 10 experience and just get a white case.

Your decision. All I can say is research the bands for yourself if you choose to believe that guy touting this as a "point of view."

I don't know why people tend to be in such denial about issues regarding frequency bands...facts are just facts...

...The sky is blue. Thorsten Heins is from Germany. When Americans say "Pennsylvania Dutch", it is actually Deutsch, and referring to German folks, not Dutch. I'm sorry, some things are just facts.

I said to hell with my verizon plan swapped to tmobile and never have I been happier. no issues that are major to report, If you want to do this just do it, plain and simple.

Just as an update. Verizon q10 with tmobile sim card. I was able to get lte the first few weeks but ever since I've only gotten 4G. I don't know how that was possible but it's true.
