last night my phone seemed to reset on its own. this morning, I reset it myself and now I can not compose a test message nor make a phone call. the phone call log does not show when clicking on the phone icon to bring it up. I tried calling my phone and my bb doesn't ring but after my vm picks up I get a missed call notification.

I called tmo as I figured this might be a tmo issue but it isn't. I have tried several hard resets and it still isn't working properly. please help. thanks.

    Need more info...

Have you recently updated the OS?

I woke up this morning and when in the hub, going through the normal process for composing an sms, my contacts didn't pop up and I was only able to scroll through old messages and reply. as for the phone, my call log didn't populate as normal and I can neither make/nor receive calls. I think something internal is not fully processing. I have not updated the OS and I am still on 10.2 something. I have a tmo branded q10 phone.

If I were you, I'd just make a backup and reinstall the OS from scratch

There is no setting you accidentally switched that would create a situation like you have described
