Why is it when I am in the phone mode of my Q10 and I want to look up a contact and I tap on the person figure on the bottom middle and enter the name it does noting and them sometimes it works if I do the remote search sometimes that works and sometimes it dont!

I believe it got fixed in 10.2.1 or I don't get what you mean. On the older versions you needed to switch between the phone contacts and contacts app to get to the right set of data. Don't need to do that anymore.

This is spot on. One of the first apps I hid was contacts, until I found out there's different sets of data. There are still less options for contacts in the phone app, but for the most part it does what it needs to do now.

When I'm in the phone mode, and touch on the contact icon, my contact list is the one that comes up. The same as when I touch on the contact icon on my home screen. The same contacts that are synced with Outlook.com account. Used to be synced with my Outlook 2007 but now that Link won't sync contacts anymore, I had to jury-rig my contact list to go through Outlook.com via Hotmail Connector. Still back on topic--its the same list.
I had this issue only I forgot how I fixed it : /. I think I ended up re adding the contacts bar file. Also, I think it had something to do with my email accounts syncing to the contacts app. Mine always wanted to do a remote search of my email accounts rather than search through my local contacts.

Since the last upgrade my contacts list keeps duplicating numbers & I did lose contacts too!
