I just called someone. I would like to be able to tap on the number in the phone module and add it to a contact. How do I do this from the phone module w/o going back to the hub, then copying the number, then going to Contacts, then selecting an exiting contact, then selecting edit contact, then pasting the tel # into the contact, and then saving the contact with the add'l info added?

Tap and hold the number. The screen slides in from the left. See the little dude with a plus sign? Press that. Guess what happens next.

I know you can do this in 10.2... Hold down on the contact's number after the call and go to Add Contacts. I don't remember if you could in previous iterations of the BB10.

When I tap and hold the number, nothing happens. No screens sliding in from the left. Nada. When I take my finger off the held number, it calls that number. Embarrassing.

When I lightly tap the number, it calls the number.

Which OS version are you running? I think this was introduced in 10.2.

    The one before 10.2.

Oops. My bad. Didn't realize that wasn't there before 10.2.

Exactly. When 10.2 is released, you will have this capability. It was one of the big complaint issues in iterations prior to 10.2.

It works for me now since the 10.1 MR, so might not have to wait until 10.2 (which is unlikely to ever be released anyway).

10.1MR works well. However, I hate to say, I disagree in regards to the 10.2 release... It's already being tested by providers in Canada. It's set to be launched in a few weeks here. Perhaps the states will be slow to adopt, but here in Canada, we should be good to go shortly.

Don't just tap...press and hold the number until a "window" slides from the right of the screen. An icon with the + sign is the "add contacts" icon. This feature must have been there since the beginning...am on .4200 now of 10.1.
