One disadvantage with the Classic that I can think of would be that because of the trackpad, the word suggestions would be further from the keyboard compared to the Q10, and that could mean that it is harder to use the keyboard suggestions on the classic compared to the Q10.

How far do you think you'll have to move your finger to tap a word?
You make it sound like it's a long way instead of less than a 1/2".

Before I used Z10 but switched to Q10 1 week ago because of this wonderfull keyboard. I do not see how trackpad with some "new" buttons will enhance my experience because the rest of Q20 is nearly the same. I love the compact size of Q10 and Q20 is a little bit bigger.

I love q10, really like classic, like passport but I will wait to see what BlackBerry have for 2015 because I think both of new devices is not real replacement for q10 and maybe they have something for us q10 users. And I still want to know why full touch devices must look like iphone, z10 , Samsung, htc, Way BlackBerry don't make full touch q10 design device

If it's between the Q10 or the Classic, I'm definitely sticking with my new Q10. Am not longing for the trackpad or the tool belt, although I'd understand why some prefer it back.

I'll probably consider the Passport this time next year, when SRP hopefully goes down to half. The non-replaceable battery is a turn off as I've always leaned towards handsets with replaceable ones and with spare battery bundles. I currently use a Note 3 and a newly purchased Q10, both with spare battery bundles. Can't imagine going back to a handset with a non-replaceable battery, but at the right price, the Passport will be my next BlackBerry, with my Q10 as a trusty backup.

I feel the same, I had two Torches 9800 & 9810 and the track pad and other buttons failed in time.

Enjoying my Q10 & PlayBook; in time may get a Passport to replace the Playbook.

The Classic is going to be a flagship device. BlackBerry threw the Passport out there for the "wow" factor, but as Chen said, (what I heard!) "The Classic is the s**t!).

I'm keeping my q10 until my contract is over and that's if sprint has the classic next year.

Sometimes I don't get the point of these threads.

What makes you think the Classic is going to be aa flagship device? Everything we know so far keeps pointing to it having mid-level specs (think Q10 with a bigger screen and a tool belt). The only thing John Chen said was that the Passport and the Classic would be "Premium" devices; he never said they both would be "Flagship" devices.

I agree on the keyboard size! I would like to see a Q10 big brother that comes in at the size of the Bold 9900, just drop the toolbelt in place of more screen and now you've got a trophy phone!

I'm not excited about the Classic. I'll stick with my Q10 for a while, and replace it with a Passport or some other BlackBerry tbd.

The only reason why i'd keep my Q10 is because I just got it and i'm broke for the rest of the year

    I'd love a Classic tho.

Haha. Maybe just for the meantime. The glass weave looks much better. But there are minor scratches at the back.

Will be sticking to my Q10 and eventually get the passport if ever I will have the chance to play with it.

I like bigger screen on classic but tool belt I don't need, but passport is too wide how to handle that phone. Q10 with size of classic screen that would bee perfect

This is kinda how I feel...it seems like there are gaps between all of the BB10 models that make it really hard to justify picking up either the Classic (non-removable battery, same RAM & processor as Q10) or Passport (size/shape, odd keyboard design). I constantly find myself wanting a hybrid of some sort like Passport but with 4 row keyboard or Classic with removable battery and touch-capable keyboard and bigger screen without the toolbelt. I need a mix-and-match service to make my own device basically!!

    Oh well....

I'll keep my Q10 and take a closer look at the Passport when I see one on display here in Germany. The Classic with the tool belt and its slightly larger screen doesn't offer me enough to put my Q10 down

Exactly how I feel...but even the Passport already has it's share of negatives that I just don't care to adjust too....

I do not know how they do not see how people like Q10 and how many people leave the iPhone and Android and bought q10, and they are not capable to make right successor for Q. Hmm probably will be best if they announce passport mini, with size of classic or something like that.

Not to be aggressive, and do appreciate the "work around", having to resort to paper shim on a $600 device, that is supposedly both premium and iconic, is unacceptable.

I just pulled out my 9900 and fired it up.
I forgot what a great phone it is.
I've changed my mind and will go to the Classic if it has all of the features and capabilities that we had with our Bold 9900 phones with OS7.

Going to keep it and just keep the bold 9900 as well. Plus the Classic I think they go well as a trio.

The bold 9900 is a great size but still a tad small, but it runs os7.1

The q10 is a great size and the soft glass weave back makes it one sexy phone to both hold and also show off.

The classic has the tool belt for bb10 but will be a tad too big.

All has pros and cons and so I'm going to keep all 3.

This is contingent in the Classic being priced right and to glowing reviews. Otherwise I might hold off on it.

The Classic is sort of like a hybrid of the 9900 and Q10.

After getting the Q10 I am pretty satisfied that's why I sold my 9930 on eBay.

I've reached out to a few people who've already received their passports (lucky few) so far they love them, takes a few days to get used to size, but now hard to use other phones.
