So I'm watching a video or writing an important text message and I go to adjust the volume for my video/music. I hit the volume key and suddenly, the entire screen is covered up by the volume and skipping controls. I mean, who thought THAT was a good idea?

It wouldn't be too bad if the media controls stayed for a shorter amount of time, but I think there should be a better way of adjusting the volume for media.

Maybe the buttons should just show up on the side of the screen? Or along the top/bottom?

Personally, I think the black box should be translucent. iOS got this right.

I believe that we don't need that at all. The side keys do everything for me. Press repeatedly/volume up or down, press and hold/skip track, middle key/play&pause.

Omg this is also my issue while watching youtube.. i miss some scenes if i dont pause. I hope they make it smaller, i dont want it to cover half of the screen.

I absolutely HATE that pop up media screen! It is always getting in the way. Maybe if it were a small banner at the top or bottom, that may be better.

Yup, they should be smaller or dismissable, because on Q10 it lays over whole screen and I can't do anything when changing volume.
I'd move it to top stripe and perhaps allow option to switch them off as you can do Previous-Play-Next without onscreen box.

Agree that it is totally unnecessary for a large pop-up to be right in the middle of the screen. Lot of ways it should have been done.

Hope that in a future update we see this change.
