Let's get to the bottom of this. I can safely say by now that double typing is a hardware issue. After replacing the keyboard, been a week and no problems with typing.

Mine is SQN100-3 Made in Mexico OS 10.2.0.429

Which leak OS? Can you give us version number so someone else can confirm if OS actually fixes it.

Well the new leak 10.2.1.1259 is a rock solid OS so I would do that one first, and then go backwards. If this helps you also get all the newest features.

Sqn100-2 OS 10.2.0.429 made in Mexico, I have had my Q10 since launch date, I have had no issues what so ever with the keyboard the Q10 is still running strong.

Q10SQN100-1/10.2.1.1055 I've had it since launch and not a hint of double-type.

I believe that there could be issues since I did have that problem on my 9900.

It's a very very small percentage of devices. But they should be replaced or repaired through your carrier.

Only ongoing problem that I seem to get has to do with screen not lighting up long enough on incoming calls as well as when I get a call waiting. It is beyond annoying, especially when you want to just be able to answer a call.

I have an SQN 100-3 Q10 bought in July and it's made in Hungary.

Despite the fact I despise the Q10 keypad with it's irritatingly shaped and swept key tops (why?) I have not experienced any keystroke or typing errors like those you describe at any point in time, regardless of the firmware version.

I've had my Q10 for 6 months and the keyboard is perfect (AT&T SQN100-1, 10.1.0.2121, made in Mexico 5). Thought about going back to my 9900 several times, just because I'm resistant to change, but finally sold it on ebay a month ago to force myself to move on.

My is a Q10 SQN100-2 made in Mexico, Verizon's carrier. Bought in USA, but I live in S�o Paulo - Brazil. I have it for 2 months and installed all OS leaks. Works perfectly.

I'm with my Q10 since June (SQN 100-3, OS 10.2.0. 424). I live in Romania and my carrier is Vodafone. I have never had any problem whatsoever with it, just works brilliantly.

The legacy devices did it too.. however, they gave a setting for sensitivity .. wish BB10 had it.. maybe they do…

You can get model and OS software version in settings > About > general

As for the country, remove back cover and battery, should be on label.

Had mine since September and it's still perfect, no issues at all.

Only problem I've had yet is that I find myself double-tapping the space-bar on my PC and expecting it to add a period to my sentence.

Never had a typing problem, and I type a lot.

So I've had the Q10 SQN-100-2 Made in Canada, since it was released. The only time I have encountered the double typing was on .1055. I am now running the latest leak and have not had problems.

The ONLY problem I do have with my phone (as others do as well) is that sometimes when I set my phone down it restarts. I've not figured out a solution to the problem, but I am also not very active in addressing it, it is very random and doesn't happen much.

In general I am happy as can be with my phone, not even having an inch to switch phones since I got it. I was on a 6month cycle of trying different phones. I get apps made for blackberry, as well as, using Spot for Andoid Market and never had an issue with apks installing and running, other than the google play services apps. I love my q10!!

Had mine since March but I haven't experienced this. On my Pearl 9100 however I did have this issue which was traced to the keyboard's PCB misbehaving, bought a replacement which fixed it right up.
