Who else besides me is going to order from Rogers and unlock their Q10 on AT&T before they release it in the states?? I'm not waiting for AT&T to do what they do so famously and load a bunch of bloat ware on a device before they release it. I'm itching to go back to a keyboard.

I definitely want to do this, the question I had was whether this newly announced LTE band will affect us using the phone in any way? Will there be unwanted battery drain if the phone is searching for that band?

I will probably be buying q10s for Americans like I did with the z10. If they are priced the same as the z10 it will be about $900 for me to get one for you.

Based on past experiences you won't be able to order from Rogers online and have them ship it to the States, but you should be able to walk into a Rogers store and buy it outright (off contract).

If you don't live near the border, some nice crackberry members can maybe help out without you getting ripped off from eBay pirates

I live in southern California so unfortunately a trip to Canada would be tough. As far as the 2600MHz band goes, I think you can use the other Canadian carrier's versions just fine on AT&T (unless you really want the white Q10).

Yea, I remember you doing this for the z10s. Any issues getting those unlocked? You'll probably be hearing from me as the release date gets closer.

Unlocks were a bit slow at first and had a couple that didn't want to play nicely but eventually did unlock. Now that they've straightened out all those issues its not a problem. CrackBerryUnlocking.com already have the option for the Q10 available so it should be simple.

I've got two pre-ordered from Fido(Rogers), but probably will not need both. If anyone is interested, PM me and we can work something out,

Looks like we need the Telus model, not Rogers to work on AT&T right? Something about Rogers 2600mhz.. Telus has 850mhz.

The Fido model states the following LTE bands:
    700/850/1700/1900 MHz (LTE 2, 5, 4, 17)

Rogers can't have 2600 as the only LTE band because they don't have full coverage across the country with 2600 MHz. Must be a typo.

When you add in the tax (13% here) the shipping the unlock fee and the paypal fees its pretty reasonable.

It's not a typo. They are proud to be offering 2600 on the Q10. I'm sure it also has the lower band LTE signal capability.

Glad you realized... was wondering what you meant by "ship". Yeah, the only way to grab a Canadian model by yourself is to cross the border. I'd suggest you make the most of it by going to a nice place and having a fun vacation Our border towns are mostly quite boring except for Niagara Falls.

Also, for anyone who can conveniently access Alberta, the sales tax is only 5% - whereas Ontario and BC charge 13% and 12% respectively. Just something to consider.

For any of my fellow American xenophobes unwilling to trust joeybee ( apparently a card carrying CANADIAN), I will purchase the phones from him and it will be about $1250 for me to get one for you . . .

No American carrier supports the 2600MHz band, so that's redundant. You'd be much better served by the Telus version, even for $50 more. T-Mobile is making some cool moves down there, and since you'd be buying it outright anyway you have a lot of options.

    LTE: AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint
    HSPA: AT&T, T-Mobile

Koodo doesn't have it listed yet :/

However, Fido, a lower-cost subsidiary of Rogers, is showing the Q10 for $650. And it doesn't appear to be the 2600 Mhz variant.

If you're going for sell them for 1250 they're going to cost you 1100 from me. If anyone is making a big chunk of profit it should be me.
