It might be that the white one is like the ATT model. You will get tmobile AWS 4glte if you are in the newer reframed areas. But you will not get the majority of tmobiles network 3g/4G.

    Heres a good quote
You'll be able to use it on TMO's, LTE network (where available) and the refarmed UMTS 1900 network (wherever available.) You will also be able to use it on their 2G network everywhere. You will not be able to use it on TMO's UMTS 1700 network (which is their primary 3G/HSPA+ network.)

A couple weeks ago when I went to go look at the white one, it didn't say that. Just had the bit about being compatible with gsm networks. It also said it was backordered at the time though. So did they get rid of all the white ones that were compatible with all of T-Mobile's 3G/4G network? Or were they that way all along and just didn't have a note saying they weren't?

Of course, there's always the possibility that someone spiked my drink and I was seeing things. I'm 95% sure though that it used to not say that.

Anyhow, the main question I meant to ask... if my black Q10 always shows 4GLTE, I should be fine if I went ahead and bought the white one, right? The only time I've seen it say anything other than 4GLTE was when I was in the grocery store and it said 2G. I'm assuming UMTS+ cmata mentioned would show up as just 4G on the device, right? Just making sure.

I think you have to buy a SQN 100-3 to use it on T-Mobile regardless the colour.

Ask T-Mo, it can't be the colour. Ask which SQN 100-x (x=1,2,3,4) is compatible with your region

It's fine if your area is reframed but I'd rather not have it drop to edge in the even that it's not

The official tmobile Q10 is Q10SQN100-5/10.2.1.2228 so if you get anything other than -5 you may not get all the coverage bands
